Job description

Experience: 3+ Years
Location: Ahmedabad

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for working on multiple assignments throughout the year with respect to US Business Tax.

• Review simple to complex US Business tax returns, i.e., 1065/1120/1120S, etc. (Trial Balance and other relevant adjustment entries regarding tax returns).

• Value added if have experience on Individual tax returns (1040).

• Experience in foreign forms, i.e., 5471, 5472 & 8865, based on the return complexity and requirement.

• Review individual and entity tax returns for US-based clients.

• Perform detailed review on tax returns, research, and compliance work with an emphasis on calculations, accounting theory, and tax law compliance, depending on experience.

• Require identifying the books to tax adjustment based on the working papers and guide the team for the same.

• Manage clients’ engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects).

• Frequently interface with client personnel to review and apply accounting and tax principles.

• Responsible for managing 4-6 team members in the team along with the need to make sure the team will develop and perform as per their KRA.

• Responsibilities of providing training on business tax and individual tax returns to junior staff members.

• Develop and enhance personal technical knowledge and understanding of US tax laws.

• Proficient in various US tax software and other tax compliance tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of work experience in business returns-1065/1120/1120S

• Experience working in Tax software like ProSystem FX, CCH Axcess & CCH Workflow

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other tools.

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and good at oral and Email communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance; master’s degree preferable.

• The candidate should have an MBA, M.Com., or Enrolled Agent certification obtained or in process or CA or CA-Inter and CPA.

• Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance.

• Excellent quantitative, analytical, written, and presentation skills.
