Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development:
β’ Identified and onboarded competitive suppliers globally, driving long-term partnerships and delivering cost savings through negotiation and performance improvement initiatives.
β’ Source and evaluate suppliers for confectionery, food, kitchenware, and electronics.
β’ Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/manufacturers from China, Europe, Far East for FMCG/FMCD/Food/Commoditis based on business needs.
β’ Initiate, oversee, and negotiate supplier contracts for long-term relationships, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and reliable supplies.
β’ Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and drive cost reduction strategies.
2. Procurement Operations:
β’ Managed full procurement lifecycle including RFQs, purchase orders, sampling, QC checks, contract finalization, and logistics coordination via ERP (Axpert).
β’ Raise, review, and approve purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications, quantity, price, and compliance requirements.
β’ Generate Pro Forma invoices and coordinate purchase requests with the team
β’ Track shipments, payments, and ensure timely supplier communication.
3. EXIM & International Coordination:
β’ Liaise with partners/customers and logistics for smooth international operations and export shipment dispatch
β’ Ensured regulatory and documentation compliance for international shipments, including product labeling, custom clearance, and export registration across multiple markets.
β’ Handle customs/private label development as per business requirements
4. New Product Development (NPD)
β’ Identify and develop new product lines and suppliers based on market feedback and comparative analysis of samples
β’ Initiated white/private label programs and sourced new product lines based on market feedback and trend analysis
5. Cost Optimization & Negotiation
β’ Led price negotiations, MOQ finalization, Incoterms selection, and landed cost analysis to protect margins and enhance profitability.
β’ Analyze landed costs and supplier competitiveness; ensure alignment with margin expectations
6. Cross-Functional Leadership
β’ Collaborated with Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Quality teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Provide regular updates on order status, delays, and sales/forecast reports to suppliers
β’ Ensure documentation is audit ready and compliant with company standards
7. Audit-Ready Documentation
β’ Maintained procurement records and supplier communication trails aligned with audit and compliance standards.
